Colin Firth is gearing up to bring a powerful story to life in Peacock’s upcoming limited series, “Lockerbie: A Search for Truth.” The series is set to explore the aftermath of the tragic bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which took the lives of 243 passengers and 16 crew members, as well as 11 residents of Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988.

In the series, Oscar-winner Colin Firth portrays Dr. Jim Swire, a grieving father on a mission for justice after the loss of his daughter, Flora, in the bombing. Dr. Swire spent nearly 30 years seeking answers and accountability, even meeting with controversial figures like Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and advocating for the release of a convicted suspect.

“Lockerbie: A Search for Truth” takes viewers on a journey through Dr. Swire’s relentless pursuit of justice, highlighting the sacrifices he made in his quest for truth. The series promises an intimate look at a man driven by love and loss in his pursuit of justice, with Colin Firth leading a talented cast that includes Catherine McCormack, Rosanna Adams, and more.

Written by David Harrower and directed by Otto Bathurst, the five-part series is a co-production between Carnival Films and Sky Studios. Executive producers Gareth Neame, Nigel Marchant, and Sam Hoyle have worked alongside a team of talented individuals to bring this gripping story to life.
