NBC Sports and Peacock are teaming up to bring football fans something special this December! On December 21st, they will present an alternate broadcast of the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs game featuring the exciting elements of the EA Sports Madden 25 video game.

This Madden NFL Cast was announced during halftime of a recent game between the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. This is the first time NBC has offered an alternate broadcast for an NFL game, following in the footsteps of CBS and ESPN/ABC.

During the Texans-Chiefs game on Peacock, viewers can look forward to a unique blend of video game graphics, route trees, player cards, and player ratings mixed with live action. GenuisIQ will provide real-time data using the league’s Next Gen Stats, adding an extra layer of analysis to the game.

The broadcast team for this special event includes Paul Burmeister on play-by-play, Madden NFL expert Kurt Benkert, and six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as commentators. Ochocinco will even serve as a real-time player “ratings adjuster,” making the commentary even more immersive. Plus, Henry Leverette, the Ultimate Madden Bowl champion, will also be part of the broadcast.

With star players from the Texans and Chiefs, this Madden NFL Cast will provide a unique perspective on the game’s biggest plays through the Madden NFL 25 lens. It’s a fun and innovative way to enjoy football, bringing together the worlds of gaming and live sports in a new and exciting way.

Don’t worry, if you prefer the traditional broadcast, the main game will still air on NBC on December 21st at 12 p.m. CT. So mark your calendars and get ready for a game day experience like no other!
