NBC Sports and Peacock have some exciting news for Madden fans! The popular video game franchise is taking its first step into the world of alt-casting. The “EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast” is set to debut during the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs game on Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. ET, exclusively streaming on Peacock while also airing on NBC.

This unique alt-cast will blend video game elements with live action, featuring Madden NFL 25 graphics, route trees, play cards, and player ratings. The commentary team for the alt-cast will include Paul Burmeister as the play-by-play announcer, former NFL quarterback and YouTuber Kurt Benkert providing insights with graphic overlays, and six-time Bengals Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as a real-time player “ratings adjuster.”

Adding to the excitement, Henry Leverette, a Madden champion, will also be part of the broadcast. The Madden NFL Cast will be produced by Steve Greenberg and directed by Geoff Butler, marking a new milestone as Peacock’s first sports alt-cast.

It’s important to note that the success of the Madden NFL Cast is weather-dependent, as visibility is key for the graphics to show up on the field. With 11 players on the Texans and Chiefs rosters boasting Madden ratings above 90, including stars like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, this alt-cast is sure to offer a unique viewing experience for fans.

So mark your calendars for Dec. 21 and get ready to experience the game in a whole new way with the EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast!
