Players Era Festival: College Basketball Event Schedule, Teams, TV Channels, Streaming
Eight top men’s college basketball teams are set to compete in the Players Era Festival, a tournament taking place from November 26 to November 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. If you’re looking to catch all the action, you’ll be able to stream the games on Max and watch them on TBS/TNT/truTV.
Here’s how it works: the teams will be divided into four-team groups, where each team will play two games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Based on those results, the teams will be seeded for a championship-style schedule on Saturday. It’s an exciting lineup you won’t want to miss!
Here’s the schedule breakdown:
On Tuesday, November 26, San Diego State beat Creighton 71-53, and Oregon claimed victory over Texas A&M with a score of 80-70 in the Power Group. In the Impact Group, Alabama won against Houston in overtime with a score of 85-80, while Rutgers narrowly beat Notre Dame in an 85-84 overtime showdown.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, November 27, Oregon will face San Diego State at 4 p.m., and Texas A&M will take on Creighton at 6:30 p.m. In the Impact Group, Rutgers will play against Alabama at 10 p.m., and Notre Dame will battle Houston at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. And finally, on Saturday, November 30, the teams will compete for various placements starting at 1 p.m. on truTV, with the 1st place game at 9:30 p.m. on TNT.
Curious about the seeding process? The four-team Impact and Power groups will be seeded based on overall records. In case of ties, tiebreakers include head-to-head record, total point differentials, total points scored, and total points allowed.
