Paramount+ Launches Trailer for ‘Dexter: Original Sin’
Paramount+ has just released the official trailer for the highly anticipated prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin.” Scheduled to debut on December 13th for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S., the show will also be available on demand. For those outside the U.S., the series will air exclusively on Paramount+ on December 13th in various countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
The show, set in 1991 Miami, follows Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) as he navigates his transformation from a student to a vigilante serial killer. With his father Harry (Christian Slater) by his side, Dexter learns to harness his darker impulses by adhering to a code that guides him in targeting individuals who he believes deserve to be removed from society. This proves to be particularly challenging for Dexter as he embarks on a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
“Dexter: Original Sin” boasts a stellar cast, with Molly Brown, Christina Milian, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, and special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Dempsey joining the lineup. Notably, Michael C. Hall returns as the voice of Dexter Morgan’s inner monologue, adding to the nostalgia for fans of the original series.
For fans eagerly awaiting the return of Dexter, this new series promises to deliver the same gripping storytelling and complex character dynamics that made the original show a hit. With the premiere just around the corner, viewers can look forward to diving back into Dexter’s dark and twisted world.
