Milly Shapiro stars in horror film ‘The Hallowarrior’
Milly Shapiro, known for her role in “Hereditary,” is making a comeback in the horror genre with “The Hallowarrior.” This post-apocalyptic horror-thriller with a Halloween twist also stars Shannyn Sossamon from “A Knight’s Tale.” The film, directed by Ben Sottak, has just finished filming in Syracuse, N.Y.
In “The Hallowarrior,” Shapiro plays Pumpkin, the last girl on earth, and the only survivor of a humanity-ending plague. As she scours the wasteland for supplies on Halloween eve, her solitary holiday is disrupted by a vicious gang led by Thalia, played by Sossamon. Armed with only candy, wit, and weapons, Pumpkin must fight back fiercely to survive the night.
The movie is based on Sottak’s impressive proof of concept short film “Scavenger.” This marks his directorial debut, and the anticipation is high following the release of a first-look image of Shapiro in a bloodied Halloween jumper.
“The Hallowarrior” promises to be a thrilling and intense film that horror fans won’t want to miss. As the production wraps up, audiences can look forward to witnessing Shapiro and Sossamon’s on-screen chemistry in this unique post-apocalyptic setting. Keep an eye out for this exciting new release in the horror genre!
