Netflix has exciting news for fans of Israeli drama! The streaming platform has acquired global rights to the series “Bad Boy” from creators Ron Leshem and Hagar Ben-Asher. The eight-part series is set to launch in 2025, starting with a run on Israeli channel HOT before making its global debut in Netflix’s 190 territories.

“Bad Boy” follows the story of Dean, a former youth detainee who forms a bond with a mysterious teenage prisoner convicted of murder. Flash forward twenty years, and Dean is now a successful comedian hiding his troubled past. The series stars Daniel Chen, Havtamo Farda, and Guy Manster.

The series is inspired by true events and is the brainchild of Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Ron Leshem, known for his work on the Israeli series “Euphoria.” Leshem will also serve as the showrunner for “Bad Boy,” with Hagar Ben-Asher handling the writing and directing duties.

Produced and co-financed by The North Road Company and Sipur, along with Israeli Broadcaster HOT and Tedy Productions, “Bad Boy” promises to be a gripping and thought-provoking series that is sure to captivate audiences worldwide.
