Inspiring Change: Prime Video Partners with NFL and Boys & Girls Clubs
Prime Video, the Smithsonian, and NFL Inspire Change have joined forces in a new partnership to give back to kids in need. Through their program TNF for Good, they aim to donate 1 million books and literacy resources to Boys & Girls Clubs across all of the NFL markets. This initiative is all about promoting education, literacy, and opportunity for young people all across the country.
The books being donated have been handpicked by educators at the Smithsonian to cover a wide range of topics like history, science, and technology, all to inspire and educate the kids who receive them.
“We at Prime Video really believe in the power of stories, whether they’re on the field or in a book,” said Jay Marine, Global Head of Sports and Ads at Prime Video. “By partnering with the NFL and the Smithsonian, we’re making sure that kids in every NFL market have access to resources that can spark their imaginations and encourage them to dream big.”
This mission aligns with Prime Video’s dedication to supporting communities that are involved with Thursday Night Football. The Smithsonian, known for its dedication to knowledge and discovery, is thrilled to be part of this initiative as well.
Handing a book to a child can open up a world of wonder and learning, which is why the Smithsonian’s Under Secretary for Education, Monique Chism, is excited to be distributing these valuable resources to youth all over the nation.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America are also on board. Chad Hartman, their national vice president of Corporate Partnerships & Engagement, expressed gratitude for this partnership, emphasizing how important it is for kids to have access to resources like these books.
The initiative started with events in Kansas City, Baltimore, and Detroit, where NFL players, community leaders, and partners came together to give out the books at Boys & Girls Club locations, complete with reading circles and activities to engage young readers.
This is just the beginning, and with the ongoing support of organizations like Prime Video, the Smithsonian, and the NFL, more young minds can be inspired through the power of books.
