Paramount+ recently gave us a sneak peek at the upcoming UK original series The Crow Girl, which was filmed in Bristol earlier this year with the support of the Film Office team. The series, consisting of six episodes, is produced by the Emmy-winning Buccaneer team and features a star-studded cast including Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly, Dougray Scott, and Elliot Edusah. Based on Erik Axl Sund’s best-selling novel, The Crow Girl promises to be a nail-biting, contemporary psychological thriller.

The story follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles) and DI Lou Stanley (Dougray Scott) as they investigate the murders of young men found in the city, all exhibiting signs of an anaesthetic called lidocaine. Pressure mounts as they struggle to find evidence to catch the killer, leading Jeanette to seek help from Dr. Sophia Craven (Katherine Kelly), who provides a fresh perspective on the case. With time running out and the killer getting closer, the team must unravel a web of secrets to solve the mystery.

In the first images released from the series, we see Eve Myles in action as DCI Jeanette Kilburn, with Dougray Scott portraying DI Lou Stanley. Katherine Kelly plays Dr. Sophia Craven, Elliot Edusah takes on the role of rookie DC Mike Dilliston shadowing Lou Stanley, and Clara Rugaard, Victoria Hamilton, and Chloé Sweetlove round out the talented cast.

Milly Thomas has created the series for the screen and serves as an executive producer along with Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft directing. The show is produced in association with ITV Studios and will premiere on Paramount+ in the UK in the coming year. Stay tuned for more updates on The Crow Girl!
