Paramount+ with Showtime just dropped the official trailer for the highly-anticipated prequel “Dexter: Original Sin.” The series is set to premiere on Friday, Dec. 13 for streaming and on-demand viewing exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. If you can’t wait for the streaming release, mark your calendars for its on-air US debut on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 10 pm ET/PT.
The trailer gives us a glimpse into the origins of Dexter Morgan, played by Patrick Gibson, as he navigates from being a student to a vigilant serial killer. Set in 1991 Miami, young Dexter struggles with his primal urges and must come to grips with his darker side. With the mentorship of his father, Harry, portrayed by Golden Globe winner Christian Slater, Dexter creates a Code to guide his mission of eliminating those who have escaped justice.
Joining the cast are a talented lineup including Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, and a special guest appearance by Sarah Michelle Gellar. Fans will be thrilled to know that Michael C. Hall will be returning to voice Dexter Morgan’s iconic internal monologue.
