Amazon Prime Video has scored its first deal in college sports by teaming up with Duke University to bring viewers exclusive coverage of select basketball games. In this multi-year partnership, the streaming service will showcase three top-notch Duke Blue Devils neutral-site nonconference men’s basketball games each season.

The highly anticipated games kick off the week of Thanksgiving and Black Friday, starting with Duke versus the Connecticut Huskies on November 25. Following that, Prime Video will air Duke’s matchups against the Michigan Wolverines on December 21 and the Gonzaga Bulldogs on February 20, 2027. Stay tuned for more details on game times and additional coverage.

With this foray into college sports, Amazon Prime Video is expanding its sports offerings in the US, which already include coverage of the NBA and NFL. Charlie Neiman, head of sports partnerships at Prime Video, expressed excitement about this new partnership with Duke University and the opportunity to bring premium college basketball action to fans worldwide.

The Atlantic Coast Conference, where Duke competes, primarily partners with major US sports network ESPN for media rights. To participate in Prime Video’s nonconference game series, Duke has agreed to take part in select ESPN-owned and operated neutral-site events during the 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons, thanks to their existing relationship with ESPN under a 20-year rights deal signed in 2016.

Nina King, Duke’s vice president and director of athletics, emphasized the significance of this collaboration with Prime Video, highlighting the global exposure it brings to Duke men’s basketball. She sees this innovative partnership as a way to provide meaningful opportunities for student-athletes while showcasing excellence in the world of college sports.
