Nielsen Appoints Julia DeTraglia, Former Netflix Executive, as Head of Content Insights
Nielsen has just made a big move by bringing on board media measurement whiz Julie DeTraglia to lead their content and strategic insights team. Julie has extensive experience in the industry, having worked as VP of ads measurement at Netflix and head of sports strategy and research at Amazon, among other notable roles.
In her new position, Julia will be spearheading Nielsen’s editorial marketing content strategy, covering areas like social media, client communications, events, and podcasts. She’s all set to become the driving force behind Nielsen’s marketing efforts, working out of the headquarters in New York and reporting to Sacha Weinberg, the head of global marketing.
According to Weinberg, Julie is a pro at translating data into actionable strategies. She doesn’t just dwell on past trends but has a special talent for spotting signals that forecast future market directions. Her knack for merging historical perspectives with current market dynamics is expected to revolutionize how Nielsen adds value for its clients in a fast-changing landscape.
This move is part of a trend at Nielsen to bring in top talent from leading companies like Netflix, Snap, Hulu, and NBCUniversal. Some recent hires include Peter Naylor as chief client officer, Roberto Ruiz as head of measurement science, Seth Ladetsky as head of global sports, Trevor Fellows as head of advertiser/agency, and Sacha Weinberg himself, who has a strong background at Amazon and Disney.
