Fatal Crash in Wood County Leaves Woman Dead and Infant Hospitalized on Saturday Evening
A tragic crash in Perrysburg Township on Saturday evening has left a 30-year-old woman from Oak Harbor dead and her infant child injured. The incident occurred at the intersection of Five Point and Lime City roads around 4:49 p.m.
Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Brooke Tabbert, the 30-year-old driver, was traveling east on Five Point Rd. when she failed to stop at the stop sign at Lime City Road. At the same time, a 29-year-old driver from Perrysburg was heading south on Lime City and collided with Tabbert’s car.
The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and strike a utility pole. Sadly, Tabbert was pronounced dead at the hospital, while her infant child was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver involved in the crash was fortunately uninjured.
