Jack Nicklaus to Headline Amazon’s First Masters TV Broadcast

Six-time Masters champion Jack Nicklaus is set to be a guest on Amazon Prime Video’s debut broadcast of The Masters next week. The coverage will start with a new two-hour window from 1:00pm to 3:00pm ET before the first and second rounds at Augusta National. The broadcast will be live from the iconic Butler Cabin, featuring live action from both morning and afternoon players, along with commentary from CBS Sports’ team.

NBC/Golf Channel reporter Terry Gannon will anchor the coverage on both days, and instead of having a regular analyst alongside him, Amazon’s TV arm plans to rotate special guests, including Jack Nicklaus. The exact day and time of Nicklaus’ appearance have not been confirmed, but fans can expect to hear from him during the broadcast.

In addition to Nicklaus, Amazon has teased that there will be other “current stars and special guests” joining Gannon in the booth. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Nicklaus’ final Masters victory, where he made history as the oldest Green Jacket winner at 46 years old, a record that still stands today.
