Prime Video Releases Trailer for Jerry West Documentary

Prime Video just dropped an exciting trailer for an upcoming documentary about the legendary Jerry West. Known for his time as a superstar player and executive with the Los Angeles Lakers, West played a crucial role in putting the team on the map in Southern California when they moved there in 1960.

During his 14-season career with the Lakers, West made the All-Star team every year and helped lead the team to its first world championship in 1972. His scoring prowess is still impressive, with career averages of 27 points per game in the regular season and 29.1 points per game in the playoffs.

The documentary, titled “Jerry West: The Logo,” is set to be released on April 16. It will explore West’s incredible career both on and off the court. As the Lakers’ general manager, he oversaw six championship teams and built two dynasties, including the Kobe Bryant-led teams of the 2000s.

West’s impact extended beyond the Lakers, as he also worked in the front offices of the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Clippers. Sadly, West passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 86.

Stay tuned for the release of “Jerry West: The Logo” on Prime Video for a closer look at the fascinating career of this basketball legend.
