Keith David and Gargoyles Cast Hope to Return for Disney+ Live-Action Series
Gary Dauberman, renowned for his work in The Conjuring Universe, is currently in the process of developing a live-action Gargoyles series for Disney+. Fans are excited about the prospect of the original voice actors reprising their roles in the new series. In a recent interview with Nerd Reactor, Keith David, who voiced Goliath in the original animated series, expressed his interest in returning to the role, much to the delight of fans.
Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Bill Fagerbakke from SpongeBob SquarePants have also shared their thoughts on the upcoming series. Frakes mentioned his eagerness to play Xanatos, the main antagonist, in the live-action adaptation, while Fagerbakke, who voiced Broadway, another Gargoyle, expressed his enthusiasm to be part of the project.
Even Tom Kenny, the voice actor for SpongeBob SquarePants, is a fan of Gargoyles, praising the series for being ahead of its time. While there hasn’t been an official announcement regarding the voice cast for the new series, the original voice actors have shown their love for the franchise, indicating that they would be a perfect fit to reprise their roles.
Although details about the series are still emerging, Dauberman, in an interview with ComicBook.com, mentioned that the live-action adaptation of Gargoyles would be challenging but exciting. He emphasized that they are maintaining the dark and mysterious essence of the animated series, promising an engaging and compelling viewing experience for fans.
