Season five of “For All Mankind” is gearing up for its big return next month on Apple TV. The space drama has released a trailer giving fans a taste of what to expect in the upcoming season.

The series features a talented cast including Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Shantel Vansanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Jones, Jodi Balfour, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, Casey Johnson, and Coral Pena. The show explores an alternate history of the space race, imagining a world where Russia lands on the moon before the United States. Season five will delve into the year 2012 in the show’s timeline.

Apple TV has teased some of what fans can expect in the upcoming season. The series will pick up in the 2010s after the Goldilocks asteroid heist, with Happy Valley evolving into a thriving colony. Friction brews between Mars residents and Earth, demanding law and order on the Red Planet. The ensemble cast is joined by new faces like Mireille Enos, Costa Ronin, and Sean Kaufman in season five.
