Brian Tyree Henry to Star in Adult Animated Series ‘Bass x Machina’ Coming to Netflix

Brian Tyree Henry is bringing his talents to Netflix with the upcoming adult animated series “Bass x Machina.” The show, set to premiere on Oct. 6, will feature Henry in a starring role, as well as his work as an executive producer.

Joining Henry in the voice cast are stars like Janelle Monáe, Tati Gabrielle, Cree Summer, Chaske Spencer, Currie Graham, and Starletta DuPois. The series is set in a lawless steampunk West filled with outlaws, machines, and supernatural threats. In this world, a father must take on the roles of judge, jury, and executioner to protect his family, even if it means risking everything he holds dear.

The original music for the show will come from Roman GianArthur and Nate Wonder at Wondaland, while LeSean Thomas, Jennifer Wiley-Moxley, and Chad Handley will serve as executive producers.

Henry has experience in the world of animation, having previously lent his voice to Jefferson Davis in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Fans can look forward to seeing him return for the sequel, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” and the upcoming installment “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.” According to Henry, the next chapter in the Spider-Verse series will bring the story to a satisfying conclusion.
