In the upcoming episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Dunk faces a Trial by Combat, but with a twist—it’s a Trial of Seven. Six knights will fight alongside him, and six will fight alongside Prince Aerion. After the trauma of Oberyn Martell’s fate in Game of Thrones, it’s hard not to worry about our favorite characters. But here’s the good news: Dunk is safe. We know he can’t die.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is truly Dunk’s story. The series is told entirely from Dunk’s point of view, with the focus on his journey. The title itself hints at his growth and development as a knight. If Dunk were to meet his end in the first season, it would go against the entire premise of the show. And with a second season already confirmed, we can rest assured that there is much more to Dunk’s story.
