MPSE Golden Reel Awards Nominations

The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), a group of sound editing pros, recently revealed the nominations for the 73rd Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards. These awards honor top-notch work in sound editing, sound design, music editing, and foley artistry across film, TV, and gaming.

Excitingly, Sinners and One Battle After Another snagged the lead in film nominations, while in TV, Stranger Things pulled in three nominations as well. Other notable mentions for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing include Bugonia, F1, and Frankenstein.

Wicked: For Good also scored a nod for Outstanding Achievement in Music Editing, but missed out on the Sound Editing category. Unfortunately, Avatar: Fire and Ash and Marty Supreme didn’t make the cut this time.

The winners will be announced on March 8, 2026, at the annual gala held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. Keep reading for a full list of nominations!

For Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Broadcast Animation, titles like A Breath Before Dying, Love Death + Robots: 400 Boys, Marvel Zombies: Episode 1, Rick and Morty: Summer of All Fears, and Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld all received nominations.

In the Broadcast Long Form Dialogue/ADR and Effects/Foley categories, titles such as Adolescence, The Pitt, Severance, Stranger Things, Task, Andor, Alien Earth, The Last of Us, and Pluribus bagged nominations. The competition is fierce, and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top!
