Sean Combs Documentary Series Achieves High Ratings on Netflix Streaming Platform
Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, made a big splash on Netflix in the first week of December with the documentary series “The Reckoning.” This series delved into a mix of both old and new allegations surrounding the music tycoon and racked up an impressive 2.28 million minutes of viewing in the US from December 1-7. Normally, this would have landed it at the top of the Nielsen streaming charts, but “Stranger Things” held onto its throne, coming in first overall.
While the first half of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” didn’t quite match its record-breaking premiere week, it still managed to pull in a massive 4.38 billion minutes of watch time. This impressive number makes it the third-highest weekly total for any title in 2025, only falling behind the previous week for “Stranger Things” and the debut of “Squid Game.”
Paramount+ also had a standout week with “Landman,” racking up 1.47 billion viewing minutes, an increase from the previous week. Nielsen reports that season two of this Texas-based series is running 27 percent higher than season one at the same point.
Netflix’s new western, “The Abandons,” made a solid debut with 623 million viewing minutes, establishing it as the top new scripted series of the week.
Overall, the streaming landscape continues to deliver engaging content and captivating stories for viewers to enjoy.
