Paramount+ to Remove Tarantino’s Controversial Masterpiece and optimize for SEO: Tarantino Masterpiece Leaving Paramount+ Soon
a Thurman in the hospital after the director insisted she drive a “deathbox” car too fast. And let’s not forget the weird hate-filled tirade against actor Paul Dano. But now, it seems that Tarantino’s most controversial work, Django Unchained, is leaving Paramount+ in less than a week.
Django Unchained, like its director, has faced criticism for Tarantino’s painful cameo and the abundant use of racial slurs. Spike Lee famously called Tarantino out for his infatuation with that word. Despite the controversy, the film remains somewhat of a cult classic with an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The story follows a slave named Django, played by Jamie Foxx, on a mission to capture the Brittle brothers. He teams up with a German bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz, portrayed by Christoph Waltz, leading them to hunt down criminals in the South. The journey takes them to Calvin Candie’s plantation, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, where they find Django’s wife, still enslaved.
Critics have mixed feelings about Django Unchained. Keith Garlington of Keith & the Movies describes the film as having good moments but marred by questionable choices. Toussaint Eggan of Polygon praises the film for its gunfights, drama, dialogue, and standout performances. There’s tension, drama, and a weird dinner scene reminiscent of Shrek 2, as noted by Mikkelao’s review on Letterboxd.
In the end, Django Unchained is quintessential Tarantino – visually stunning, with a talented cast and just the right amount of gore. If you haven’t seen it yet, now is your chance. The performances alone make it worth watching.
