Guy Ritchie Reveals First Look at Young Sherlock
Prime Video has just shared a sneak peek at their new series, “Young Sherlock,” set to premiere in 2026. Directed by Guy Ritchie, this fresh take on the classic detective character features Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes in his early days before he became the iconic detective that everyone knows and loves.
In this new series, set in the 1870s, we find Sherlock at Oxford University, embroiled in his very first case after a murder shakes the campus. Despite his talent, Sherlock lacks discipline, leading him to stumble upon a complex global conspiracy that ultimately sets him on the path to his future life at Baker Street.
The show boasts an impressive cast, with Dónal Finn taking on the role of James Moriarty, Zine Tseng portraying Princess Gulun Shou’an, and other talented actors such as Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Colin Firth rounding out the Holmes family and their circle.
With showrunner Matthew Parkhill partnering with Ritchie to deliver an energetic origin story, “Young Sherlock” promises to be a thrilling watch for mystery enthusiasts nationwide when it premieres on Prime Video next year. So mark your calendars and get ready for the adventures of a raw and unpolished Sherlock like you’ve never seen him before.
