UW-Platteville Teen Art Show Reception and Award Ceremony

The Nohr Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is currently home to the 2025 AWA WRAP-Teen High School Art Show, showcasing the creative talents of young artists from regional high schools. From a striking peacock made of found objects to ceramic heads that display intricate details, the exhibition features 38 artworks by 29 students from schools in southwestern Wisconsin.

Get ready to be impressed by the artistry on display! The gallery is brimming with unique pieces that highlight the creativity and skill of emerging young artists in the region. One standout piece is the Recycled Peacock by Elizabeth Ringberg from Platteville High School, standing confidently on a pedestal, catching the eye of every visitor.

Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 5–6 p.m. for the reception and award ceremony, where Kobe Elixson, a lecturer of drawing and printmaking in the UW–Platteville Art Program, will select eight high school artists to receive regional State Awards. This prestigious recognition grants them the opportunity to exhibit their work at the annual AWA State Conference in either Madison or Wausau in 2026.

Don’t miss this chance to support and celebrate the next generation of talented artists in our community. For more information about the AWA WRAP-Teen program and to dive deeper into the artistry on display, visit: https://wiscartists.wildapricot.org/WRAP-Teen.
