Mad Men HBO Max Debut: Editing Errors and Visible Crew Members
The popular drama “Mad Men” recently made its debut in 4K on HBO Max, but fans were surprised to find unexpected behind-the-scenes moments that weren’t meant to be seen. Viewers quickly noticed editing errors in the new transfer, particularly in a Season 1 scene involving Roger Sterling’s oyster mishap, where crew members could be spotted creating a vomit effect on-screen.
One fan shared their discovery on social media, noting a crew member handling the puke machine after Roger’s oyster-filled lunch. Lionsgate, the studio behind “Mad Men,” is working to correct these errors and provide viewers with a seamless viewing experience.
In addition to the crew members gaffes, episode titles were also mixed up on the platform, adding to the production blunders. Despite these technical hiccups, fans can look forward to corrected versions of the episodes, thanks to Lionsgate’s quick response to the situation.
The errors in the transfer highlight HBO’s history of on-screen mishaps, following incidents in other popular shows like “Game of Thrones.” However, the arrival of “Mad Men” in 4K on HBO Max offers fans a new and enhanced way to enjoy the series.
“We are thrilled that HBO Max will provide fans the opportunity to enjoy the series in a fresh way with an enhanced 4K viewing experience,” said Royce Battleman of Warner Bros. Discovery. Jim Packer of Lionsgate also praised HBO Max as the perfect platform to reintroduce “Mad Men” to both new and existing fans in stunning 4K quality.
