EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast to Return Thanksgiving Night for Immersive Data-Driven Experience

NBC Sports is teaming up with the NFL, EA SPORTS, and Genius Sports once again for an exciting event this Thanksgiving – the EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast. This unique alternate broadcast combines live football action with video-game-style visuals. You can catch this special stream exclusively on Peacock when the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Baltimore Ravens in primetime on Thanksgiving Night at 8 p.m. ET.

This year, the EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast will be using the SkyCam as the primary game camera angle, providing a shot that resembles playing the video game itself. It’s the second year of this innovative broadcast and its first appearance in a primetime slot, adding a twist to NBC’s traditional game coverage as part of the NFL’s John Madden Thanksgiving Celebration.

This year’s presentation, happening on Thanksgiving, pays tribute to the holiday tradition that John Madden held dear.

The Madden NFL Cast enhances the viewing experience by overlaying EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 elements onto live game feed, including route trees, play cards, and player ratings. Real-time data from NFL Next Gen Stats and GeniusIQ is leveraged to create branded graphics and predictive visualizations throughout the broadcast, providing an interactive and data-driven sports presentation.

The broadcast will be produced by Steve Greenberg, with Tim Nelson directing. NBC Sports’ traditional coverage of Bengals-Ravens will also be available on NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, and Universo. The commentary team includes Paul Burmeister on play-by-play, former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert, and three-time All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu. Plus, on-site in Baltimore, six-time Bengals Pro Bowler Chad Johnson will return as the “ratings adjuster,” alongside reporter Kay Adams.
