Warner Bros. Discovery Sets 2026 Upfront Date Amid Sale or Split Uncertainty
Warner Bros. Discovery is forging ahead with its plans despite some uncertainty about its future. The company announced that Discovery Global, which will include linear TV networks and Discovery+, will be holding an upfront event on May 13th at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Even though Warner Bros. Discovery is considering strategic options, such as a potential sale or split, they are still moving forward with the split into two companies. Discovery will include TNT, TBS, CNN, HGTV, and Discovery channels, led by Gunnar Weidenfels. On the other hand, Warner Bros. will house HBO, HBO Max, and the WB film and TV studios, under the leadership of David Zaslav.
In the midst of this uncertainty, Discovery plans to sell advertising for the Warner Bros. side of the business, including HBO Max. The upcoming upfront event will showcase the company’s vision and highlight HBO Max and other Warner Bros. properties.
Despite the review of strategic alternatives, Discovery Global remains committed to inspiring and empowering audiences through bold storytelling and engaging stories.
