New subscribers will see these changes kick in right away, while current subscribers will notice the increase on their next billing date within 30 days of being notified about the adjustments. Annual subscribers won’t feel the impact until it’s time to renew. The service last increased prices about a year ago.

Streaming prices have been on the rise lately, and it can feel like they’re just testing how much we’re willing to pay. Remember the good old days when we could binge-watch shows with no ads for just $8 a month? Those days feel like a distant memory with all these increases, then ads, followed by more hikes, and on it goes. It seems like a cycle that can only be broken if the viewers unite for a common cause.

The name of the game here is HBO Max. We’ve seen it go through various names, but that hasn’t stopped HBO from being one of the best creators of television content ever. From classics like The Sopranos to Game of Thrones and Succession, HBO continues to impress with new shows like The Chair Company. As long as they keep delivering great content, we’re all in, but let’s ease it up on the prices.
