Mediapro expands NBA coverage with customized Prime Video feed for LATAM

Mediapro, a Spanish sports agency, has expanded its partnership with Amazon Prime Video to offer a localized NBA game feed in Latin American Spanish across the region. This means that viewers in countries like Argentina, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and many more will have access to NBA games in Spanish, reaching an audience of over 400 million viewers.

The regional subsidiary of Mediapro, Mediapro North America, will be responsible for customizing the NBA game feed for Spanish-speaking audiences in these countries. This includes over 200 games for the Americas and an additional 100 games for Spain. The project is set to kick off with the opening games of the 2025-26 season and will be managed from the production center in Mexico City.

Latin American players like Karl-Anthony Towns, Al Horford, Chris Duarte, and Jaime Jaquez will be featured in NBA games, highlighting the importance of this localized feed for fans in the region.

Amazon has secured a package of NBA rights for the next 11 years in the US and various global markets, including select territories like Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, and more. This long-term partnership, valued at $1.8 billion, will see NBA games distributed globally on Prime Video, with additional primetime regular-season games, Conference Finals series, and NBA Finals coverage over the 11-year period.

Prime Video will also serve as the strategic partner and global destination for NBA League Pass, the league’s subscription service. This deal with Amazon adds to Mediapro’s extensive portfolio of sports partnerships, solidifying its position as a key player in sports broadcasting across continents.
