Candace Parker and Michael Grady Named Prime Video’s Lead WNBA Broadcasters

The 2026 WNBA season is still a few months away, but Prime Video has already picked its lead announcing team. Michael Grady and Candace Parker will take the reins for Prime Video’s WNBA coverage starting in 2026.

Jared Stacy, the global head of production at Prime Video Sports, shared in an interview on the Sports Media Podcast, “We’ll have Michael and Candace leading our ‘W’ game coverage. We’re still finalizing the rest of the team.”

Both Grady and Parker bring a wealth of basketball broadcasting experience to the table. Grady has called WNBA games for ESPN and locally in New York for Liberty games. He has been the voice of the Minnesota Timberwolves starting in 2022 and was recently named as one of the play-by-play voices for Prime Video’s upcoming NBA season starting this October.

Parker, a three-time WNBA Champion and future Hall of Famer, has already been announced as an NBA game and studio analyst for Prime Video’s NBA coverage this season. She previously worked as a studio and game analyst for NBA on TNT since 2018. Notably, Parker was the first woman color commentator for the NBA All-Star game in 2023 and contributed to coverage of the men’s NCAA tournament with Turner Sports.

Through its long-term deal with the NBA/WNBA, Prime Video will exclusively broadcast 30 WNBA regular-season games worldwide each season, including the Championship Game of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup. With such a packed schedule, Prime Video will need at least one more broadcasting team. Stacy mentioned there would be dedicated studio coverage of the league as well.

Additionally, Prime Video secured exclusive rights to air WNBA postseason games for the first time, including one first-round series yearly, seven semifinal series, and three WNBA Finals throughout the 11-year deal. Previously, ESPN’s Disney broadcasted the entire WNBA postseason.
