Lazarus Trailer Teases Twisted Thriller from Prime Video and Mystery Author

The new Prime Video show, Lazarus, has dropped its first trailer, giving viewers a glimpse into the thrilling mystery written and executive produced by Harlan Coben, known for his popular mystery novels. The show is set to premiere on the streaming platform next month.

In the trailer, we see Sam Claflin from The Hunger Games in the lead role as Joel, who returns home after his father, played by Bill Nighy, dies by suicide. Joel experiences disturbing events that lead him to unravel a series of cold-case murders while investigating his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago. The show also features Alexandra Roach, David Fynn, Karla Crome, and Kate Ashfield.

Lazarus was co-written by Danny Brocklehurst and Harlan Coben and will be executive produced by Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, Claflin, and Wayne Che Yip, who is also directing the first two episodes. The show consists of six episodes and will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting October 22, 2025.

Harlan Coben’s previous novels have been adapted into successful television series, including The Five, The Stranger, The Innocent, Fool Me Once, Just One Look, and more. Sam Claflin, in addition to his role in The Hunger Games, has appeared in a variety of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Me Before You, Enola Holmes, and more.
