NBC Adds Cheerleading Comedy ‘Stumble’ to Fall Schedule
NBC has added two new shows to its fall lineup. “The Paper,” a comedy set at an Ohio newspaper and an indirect spinoff of “The Office,” will be joining the network’s schedule in November for a second run. Alongside “The Paper,” NBC has also added “Stumble,” a comedy focusing on a junior college cheerleading squad, to fill the last two open spots in its schedule.
Lisa Katz, president of scripted programming at NBCU Entertainment, expressed excitement about bringing “The Paper” to a broadcast audience, recognizing the beloved nature of “The Office” during its time on NBC. She highlighted the company’s strategy of delivering content across multiple platforms to engage fans effectively.
“The Paper” initially premiered on Peacock on Sept. 4 and is now set to air on NBC starting Nov. 10. The show will be part of NBC’s Monday night lineup, alongside “St. Denis Medical,” which is scheduled for a two-episode premiere a week earlier. “The Paper” has already been renewed for a second season, following a successful debut on Peacock.
