Medical drama The Pitt also had its moment in the spotlight, winning three awards, including best drama series. Noah Wyle, known for his role in ER, finally clinched his first-ever Emmy win for best lead actor in a drama, dedicating the award to hospital workers. His co-star Katherine LaNasa surprised everyone by winning best supporting actress in a drama.

Hacks actress Jean Smart continued her winning streak, taking home the best comedy actress award for the fourth time. Co-star Hannah Einbinder also won her first Emmy for supporting actress in a comedy series. Einbinder shared on the red carpet that Hacks would be coming to an end after its fifth season, currently in production.
