HBO and HBO Max Shine at Emmy Awards as Apple and Another Studio Excel
HBO and HBO Max made a big comeback at this year’s Emmy Awards, tying with Netflix for the most wins. Led by “The Pitt” and “The Penguin,” the Warner Bros. Discovery outlets took home a total of 30 awards. This was a significant increase from the previous year, where they only won 14 awards.
Netflix also had a strong showing this year, with 30 wins, including five awards for individual achievement in animation. The limited series “Adolescence” was a standout for Netflix, winning eight awards. “The Penguin,” which also had nine wins for HBO, dominated the limited series categories.
Apple TV+ had its best year at the Emmys ever, taking home 22 wins. The Lionsgate TV-produced series “The Studio” was a standout, winning 13 awards. This broke “The Bear’s” record from the previous year of 11 wins.
Overall, it was a competitive and exciting night for streaming platforms and networks alike at the 2025 Emmys.
