New Disney+ and Hulu Companion Video Podcast Slate Unveiled

Disney has just unveiled an exciting new lineup of companion video podcasts aimed at enhancing fans’ connections to their beloved TV shows and keeping them engaged between episodes. These video podcasts will feature lively chats with the creators and casts as they unpack each episode, share insider stories, and provide fans with a deeper look into the series’ plotlines, characters, and overall essence.

The episodes will premiere on Disney streaming platforms in the US, including Disney+, Hulu, and Hulu On Disney+, and will be easily accessible on the series’ page. In addition to video format, the podcasts will also be available on YouTube and various audio platforms through a partnership with ABC News Audio. While no international release details have been announced for Disney+, we hope to see these podcasts available worldwide at the same time.

To kick things off, the companion podcast for the hit comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” by Hulu and 20th Television will debut on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, coinciding with the Season 5 premiere. Hosted and executive produced by series star Michael Cyril Creighton, the “Only Murders in the Building Official Podcast” will delve into each episode of the upcoming season, offering never-before-heard anecdotes, hidden details, and hilarious behind-the-scenes moments that celebrate the show’s mystery, comedy, and charm. Special guests will include series showrunner John Hoffman, as well as stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Christoph Waltz, Jane Lynch, and Keegan-Michael Key.

According to Shannon Ryan, President of Direct-to-Consumer & Disney Entertainment Television Marketing, these companion video podcasts are designed to provide fans with a backstage pass to their favorite series, allowing them to deepen their viewing experience, explore behind-the-scenes with the creators and cast, and continue the conversation in a fun and engaging way.

The podcasts will be released alongside each episode, available in video format on Disney+, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and YouTube in the US. Audio versions will be distributed on popular platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, TuneIn, Amazon Music, and Pandora.
