Apple TV+ subscription fee to increase for users in the UK
Apple TV+ subscribers in the UK should be prepared to see a slight increase in their monthly subscription fee. The monthly cost will go up by £1, bringing the total to £9.99 per month. However, for those who opt for an annual subscription, the price will remain at £89.
This change comes after Apple TV+ launched in the UK in November 2019. According to reports from the BBC, the subscription fee has now doubled from its original price.
New customers signing up for Apple TV+ will be charged £9.99 per month after a free seven-day trial. Existing customers who currently pay monthly will also see their fees increase by £1 to £9.99 per month, starting 30 days after their next renewal date.
Apple highlighted that Apple TV+ has significantly expanded its library of exclusive Apple Originals, offering thousands of hours of premium programming across various genres, all without any advertisements. Subscribers can enjoy a range of content from thrilling dramas to epic sci-fi, feel-good comedies, and even live sports.
It’s worth noting that this is the first price increase for Apple TV+ customers in almost two years. So, if you’re a fan of the service, make sure to adjust your budget accordingly!
