Paramount Signs $7.7 Billion UFC Rights Deal with TKO Group | TV Tech

Paramount and TKO Group Holdings have entered into a seven-year, $7.7 billion media rights deal, making Paramount the exclusive U.S. home for all UFC events. Starting in 2026, UFC’s events, including numbered events and Fight Nights, will stream live on Paramount+’s direct-to-consumer platform. Some marquee fights will also be simulcast on CBS.

This deal marks a significant shift in how UFC content is distributed, moving from cable and pay-per-view to streaming. Paramount believes that offering UFC events at no extra cost to Paramount+ subscribers will increase accessibility and engagement with sports fans. The company also plans to explore UFC rights outside the U.S. in the future.

Paramount Chairman and CEO, David Ellison, expressed excitement about the partnership with UFC, emphasizing the reach of their platforms and the importance of live sports for driving engagement. TKO’s Executive Chair and CEO, Ariel Emanuel, sees the deal as a milestone moment for UFC, highlighting the global recognition and impact of the sport.

TKO President and Chief Operating Officer, Mark Shapiro, emphasized the opportunities this agreement unlocks for TKO, including economic benefits for investors, expanded inventory for brand partners, and increased engagement for fans. With approximately 43 live events and over 350 hours of content each year, UFC has a large following of engaged fans in the U.S. and around the world.
