Texas A&M to be featured in SEC Netflix documentary releasing Tuesday
The Texas A&M football program is gearing up to be showcased on the upcoming Netflix documentary “Any Given Saturday,” set to be released on Tuesday. This documentary will shine a light on teams from the Southeastern Conference during the 2024-2025 season.
In a recent teaser, it was revealed that the show will include in-depth interviews with head coach Mike Elko and former Aggie and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. While several key conference rivals decided not to participate in last season’s filming, Texas A&M stepped up to give fans an inside look at their program.
Produced by Box To Box Films, this eight-episode series will provide viewers with an exclusive peek into the world of SEC football, capturing the excitement and traditions of game days throughout the league. This isn’t the first time Texas A&M has been featured on Netflix, as they were previously highlighted in the “Untold: Johnny Football” documentary.
SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey expressed his excitement about bringing the conference’s football culture to a global audience through this docuseries. The series promises unprecedented access to behind-the-scenes moments, including bus rides, locker room interactions, film sessions, and more, giving fans a unique perspective on the SEC’s competitive spirit.
Last season, under Coach Elko’s leadership, Texas A&M finished with an 8-5 overall record, marking a successful first season for him with the team. His defensive expertise also helped launch three defensive linemen into the NFL, with more talented players projected to follow suit in the upcoming drafts.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 5th, when “Any Given Saturday” will premiere exclusively on Netflix. Get ready to see Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt in a whole new light as the series delves into the heart of SEC football.
