Brittany Cartwright Alleges Jax Taylor is Delaying Divorce

After almost a year of trying to get divorced, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor from The Valley still haven’t finalized things. During The Valley Season 2 reunion, Brittany dropped a bombshell about why the divorce is taking so long. She shared that Jax is prolonging the process because he’s worried about getting kicked off the show and needing alimony from her.

In a clip from the extended version of the episode on Peacock, Jax mentioned that he was actually stalling because of his podcast, not the Bravo series. Brittany was quick to remind him of what he had said before and things got pretty tense between them. Despite the delay, Brittany clarified that she has full custody of their 4-year-old son Cruz, but once the divorce is final, Jax will have him on Wednesdays and every other weekend.

Jax and Brittany also shared that Cruz now spends time at Jax’s new townhouse, but not without some drama. Brittany mentioned having to move around Airbnb rentals due to Cruz’s autism diagnosis because Jax wanted to stay in their marital home post-split. She called him out for not paying the mortgage for seven months and skipping his car note payments too.

As for when this messy divorce will be over, Jax mentioned a plan to finalize things on July 21, 2025. However, Brittany later updated viewers that they missed the deadline and now have a new date set for October 15. Despite sharing custody of Cruz, Brittany described her current relationship with Jax as “horrible” with “no trust whatsoever.”
