Captain Pike appears comical in ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 4 teaser video

Captain Pike is taking on a new look in Season 4 of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”—as a muppet! Yes, you read that right. Paramount+ surprised fans at San Diego Comic-Con with a teaser trailer for an upcoming all-puppet episode in the beloved sci-fi series.

Showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers, known for their creative episodes, are taking things to the next level with this puppet extravaganza. From fairy tales to musicals, they’ve done it all. And now, they’re bringing the USS Enterprise crew to life as charming old-school puppets.

In the teaser, we see Anson Mount’s Captain Pike looking majestic as ever, now in puppet form, commanding the bridge with his iconic silver hair. The Jim Henson’s Creature Shop has lent its talents to create these lovable puppets, set to premiere in 2026 and directed by Jordan Canning.

While Season 3 of “Strange New Worlds” is currently streaming on Paramount+, Season 4 has already wrapped filming. Even more exciting news came in June when Paramount+ announced a fifth and final season for the show, set to start shooting later this year.

So get ready to see Captain Pike and the crew as you’ve never seen them before—puppet style! Stick around for more space adventures and stay tuned for the puppet episode coming soon.
