“Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Teaser Reveals Next Generation at Comic-Con”

Paramount+ gave fans a sneak peek at season one of “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” during San Diego Comic Con. Chancellor Holly Hunter welcomed the newest group of students to the academy, the first class to return after more than 120 years.

As Hunter addressed the students at the James T. Kirk Pavilion, she acknowledged that they come from diverse backgrounds and have their own reasons for being there. She emphasized that they are the best and brightest from across the galaxy, each with unique strengths to contribute.

The students were encouraged to push their limits, dream big, and embrace the challenges ahead. The series, ordered in March 2023, will follow them as they strive to become Starfleet officers, navigating friendships, rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy threatening the Academy and the Federation.

The cast includes Sandro Rosta, Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, and Zoë Steiner as the Academy students. Notable returns include Tig Notaro as Jett Reno from “Star Trek: Discovery” and Robert Picardo as the holographic Doctor from “Star Trek: Voyager.” Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman will also reprise their roles from “Discovery” as Admiral Vance and Sylvia Tilly.

Fans can expect exciting adventures and new challenges as this new generation of Starfleet cadets embarks on their journey towards becoming the next generation of heroes.
