Jax Taylor questions Brittany Cartwright’s recent home renovations
It was a tense moment when Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor finally sat down to talk after his time at a mental health facility on The Valley Season 2, Episode 14. Their main focus was their son, Cruz. However, as they talked, Jax couldn’t help but notice the changes in their once-shared home.
He pointed out that wedding photos and pictures of the family had been replaced with snapshots of Brittany and Cruz, along with her friends. This change didn’t sit well with Jax, who questioned why she was making these alterations.
Brittany, on the other hand, didn’t hold back in her response. She made it clear that she didn’t want to see his face every day, hence the removal of his photos. The decor also saw a significant shift, with personalized bourbon barrels now displaying “Brittany and Cruz” instead of “Brittany and Jax.”
During The Valley After Show, Brittany shed more light on the changes she made in the house after Jax moved out. She emphasized that there are no photos of him hanging anywhere in the house. The once man cave for Jax is now a storage closet for Brittany’s holiday decorations, and the gym received a complete makeover to reflect her style.
One symbolic change Brittany made was switching out the welcome mat from “The Cauchis” to “The Cartwrights” as soon as you enter the house. These changes signify her new chapter without Jax.
Jax, on the other hand, has found a new place to call home. After leaving their shared house, he moved into a townhouse next door to his good friend Tom Schwartz. Adjusting to living alone after a decade, Jax expressed both excitement and nervousness about this new chapter of his life.
Despite the changes, both Brittany and Jax are navigating their new normal and trying to find their own paths separately.
