Paramount Global Renews Mediacom Agreement – Latest News on TV Deals
Paramount Global recently renewed its deal with Mediacom Communications, the fifth-largest pay-TV platform in the U.S. This agreement ensures that Mediacom customers will continue to have access to Paramount Global’s networks, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Network. Additionally, eligible customers will now be able to enjoy the Paramount+ premium tier.
Ray Hopkins, the president of Paramount U.S. distribution, expressed his excitement about the extended partnership with Mediacom. He mentioned that the renewed agreement will provide audiences with greater flexibility and expanded access to a variety of content, from news to sports and entertainment.
Italia Commisso Weinand, the executive VP of programming and human resources at Mediacom Communications, also shared her thoughts on the multi-year agreement. By combining internet, video, phone, mobile, and security services, Mediacom aims to be a one-stop-shop for the digital home.
