Netflix Partners with NASA to Livestream Exciting Content
Love outer space and the stars? Get ready for an immersive experience as Netflix partners with NASA to bring live space content right to your screens! Starting this summer, NASA will be streaming live footage from its NASA Plus app on Netflix. This means you can watch astronaut spacewalks, rocket launches, Earth views from the International Space Station, and more, all from the comfort of your own home.
NASA’s goal with this partnership is to spark interest in space exploration and showcase the incredible work they’re doing globally and beyond Earth. While there isn’t a set date for when you can start watching NASA feeds on Netflix, upcoming live coverage in July will include the launch and docking of the Progress 92 Cargo Craft.
According to NASA Plus general manager Rebecca Sirmons, the agency is dedicated to sharing the story of space exploration with as many people as possible. The collaboration with Netflix is part of a larger vision to inspire new generations and promote innovation and exploration.
NASA Plus, the ad-free and subscription-free streaming app launched in 2023, offers a variety of live feeds, mission overviews, documentaries, and more. In addition to Netflix, NASA has also teamed up with Prime Video to introduce a Live NASA Plus channel that you can stream 24/7.
So get ready to journey into space without ever leaving your couch as NASA’s live content comes to Netflix. It’s time to explore the wonders of space from the comfort of your own home.
