However, his pitch didn’t quite land with the producer, Barbara Broccoli, who was looking for a different take on the iconic spy.
Interestingly, Denis Villeneuve, known for his darker films like Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, has been tapped to direct the next Bond movie. This might mean that a darker interpretation of Bond could still make its way to the big screen.
While Goode didn’t get the chance to audition for Bond, he certainly had a unique vision for the character. As he humorously reflects on his meeting with Barbara Broccoli, we can only imagine what his Bond would have looked like on screen.
