Why “Predator: Killer Of Killers” is a Must-Watch for Fans of the Franchise
If you’re looking for a thrilling watch, you don’t have to hit the theaters. Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated film on Hulu, is currently climbing the charts as one of the top-rated films in the Predator franchise. This movie not only delivers top-notch entertainment but also injects fresh hope into a franchise that was starting to feel a bit stale.
Back in 1988, the original Predator hit the scenes. Often dismissed as just another Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie, it’s actually a well-crafted film that seamlessly transitions into a survival horror setting. Personally, I’m a huge fan of this flick and believe it deserves all the love it gets.
While there have been some missteps along the way (I’m still a sucker for AVP), Director Dan Trachtenberg breathed new life into the franchise with Prey in 2022. Despite its flaws, it’s hard to argue that Prey isn’t the best Predator movie since the original.
Thanks to a standout performance by Amber Midthunder as Naru, Prey harkens back to the franchise’s horror roots, focusing on the terrifying Yautja (Predator aliens). Because, at its core, Predator is all about the monsters. And the title itself should always be a clever nod to the storyline, where the prey becomes the hunter by the final act.
