Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios Greenlight ‘Mister Miracle’ Series
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios have some exciting news for fans of Mister Miracle! They’ve officially given the green light to a new adult animated series based on the critically acclaimed and Eisner Award-winning comic book series by Tom King and Mitch Gerads. While we don’t have details on the network just yet, we know that production is already underway with Tom King serving as both executive producer and showrunner.
This isn’t the first adult animated series to come from Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios, following the successful first season of Creature Commandos. Plus, they’ve got season two of Creature Commandos in the works for HBO Max. Other recent greenlit series include Starfire!, My Adventures with Green Lantern, and DC Super Powers.
If you’re not familiar, Mister Miracle is all about Scott Free, a world-renowned escape artist known for his ability to break free from any trap or prison. But when his perfect life on Earth with his wife, Big Barda, is thrown into chaos by a conflict between their home worlds, Scott finds himself facing his most challenging escape yet – one from death itself.
As the war between Apocalypse and New Genesis escalates and Darkseid, Scott’s adoptive father, gains control of the Anti-Life Equation, Mister Miracle must step in to prevent further devastation and restore peace. But as he grapples with the powerful forces at play, including those in his own mind, Scott’s reality becomes twisted, uncovering buried pain and threatening the happiness he’s fought so hard to protect with his loved ones.
