Prime Video Canada Reveals Upcoming Originals
Prime Video Canada has just unveiled its lineup of original Canadian series and films at the Amazon Canada Upfront event. They’ve got some exciting new shows coming your way, like a new season of FACEOFF: Inside the NHL, Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd, Vitrerie Joyal, and more. Mark Shopiro, the head of Prime Video Canada, expressed his excitement about this diverse lineup, saying that these productions really showcase the creative spirit of Canada.
One highlight of the slate is the second season of FACEOFF: Inside the NHL. This season will follow some big names in hockey like Sidney Crosby and Anze Kopitar, giving viewers an inside look at their lives on and off the ice. There’s also a docuseries called ROMCON: Who The F**k is Jason Porter? premiering on June 13, which delves into the darker side of dating in Toronto.
Another show to look out for is Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd, a documentary about the famous punk rock band. It will feature archival footage and interviews with band members, as well as other punk rock icons like Avril Lavigne and members of Blink 182 and The Offspring.
Fans of karaoke will be excited for the new series Karaoké Club, a competition featuring celebrities hosted by comedian Stéphane Rousseau. And if you enjoy comedy, the fourth season of LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? will feature a star-studded lineup including Guy Jodoin and Patrick Huard.
