South Florida and Ryding Leading AAC Championship by One Stroke – Round Three Ahead

The University of South Florida Men’s Golf team is gearing up for an exciting final round at the AAC Championships in Sarasota, Florida. Currently leading by just one stroke over Charlotte, the Bulls are hoping to secure another AAC Championship title.

Wilhelm Ryding’s impressive performance, including a birdie on hole 17, has propelled him to the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round. With a score of 66 (-6) in round two, Ryding is in prime position to clinch the championship. He will be paired with Seb Cave from Charlotte and Andrew Baucum from Memphis, both tied for second place.

Jake Peacock made a significant climb up the leaderboard, finishing with a score of 66 (-6) and landing himself in a tie for fourth place, just two strokes behind his teammate Ryding. Shubham Jaglan also had a strong showing, posting a score of 70 and sitting tied for 10th place.

As a team, South Florida has three golfers in the top 10 after 36 holes, showcasing their depth and skill. Nino Palmquist and Cooper Smith are tied for twenty-seventh, both finishing even par in both rounds.

The Bulls are aiming to become the first repeat AAC Champions since their previous streak from 2015-2018. Ryding is not only looking to claim his first AAC Conference Championship but also his first tournament victory as a member of the Bulls.

The USF Men’s Golf program has a rich history, with 19 conference titles and numerous All-America honors.
