Larry David ridicules RFK Jr. in HBO’s new show ‘Drop Dead, Bobby’

In the latest episode of “Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America,” Larry David took a jab at his former pal Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In this HBO sketch comedy show, Larry got into character as Dora Salk, portraying the mother of virologist Jonas Salk, who famously developed the first successful polio vaccine.

As Dora Salk, Larry interrupts Jonas while he’s trying to work upstairs, annoyingly boasting to the neighbor about her son’s accomplishments. The comedic scene takes a turn when a neighbor named Bobby (with a familiar tone) voices skepticism about the vaccine, claiming it will harm people.

Larry, in character as Dora, doesn’t mince words, telling Bobby, “Drop dead, Bobby. You should die a dog’s death. You don’t know anything about science, you’re not a doctor.” Bobby retorts with more skepticism, stating he would never allow kids to take that vaccine or any other, including the measles vaccine.

The exchange between Dora and Bobby is a comical take on historical events, highlighting the tensions and controversies surrounding vaccine development and public health decisions. David’s sharp wit and humor bring a unique perspective to the conversation, making viewers both laugh and think about the complexities of scientific progress and public opinion.
